How to get to Hakuba

There are several ways to get there, but the cheapest and most recommended is to take the highway bus to

Hakuba.The best way to get to Hakuba is to take a bus from Haneda or Narita Airport to Shinjuku, where you can transfer to a bus that will take you to Hakuba.

In this case, the trip to Hakuba costs about 9,000 yen per person and takes about 6 hours.

You can also take the train to Shinjuku, which is cheaper, but you will need to change trains and it will be crowded.
Since you will probably have a lot of luggage, we recommend taking the bus.

If money is not a concern, a cab will do.
A wagon cab from Narita or Haneda Airport to Hakuba is possible for about 130,000-160,000 yen.

There is also a way to get from Shinjuku to Nagano Station by Shinkansen and from Nagano Station to Hakuba by bus.
Shinkansen 90min, bus 70min
Shinkansen 8000yen- 15000yen Bus 1800yen

If you just want to enjoy the Hakuba area, you can come to Hakuba by bus and rent a car in Hakuba.

For skiing in the Myoko, Nozawaonsen, and Shiga Kogen areas, you may rent a car from Nagano Station.
